Installation

To install InfoRad Wireless software in Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000, click on the Start button and select Run. Type in A:SETUP or B:SETUP in the Open: line and click OK. Follow the prompts for installation.

InfoRad Wireless Software needs a Receiver ID (the pager phone number including the area code, the pager PIN number, or Cap Code), and the Messaging Service WCTP Server Address to send an instant message. Your Paging/Wireless Messaging Service should have the server addresses for you.

After installation you need to setup a Messaging Service. From the menu bar select Edit, then Messaging Services, and click the [New] button. Click here for server addresses


Select 'internet (WCTP)' as the method for sending messages. Then enter the 'Server Address' and the 'Port Number'.

After creating a WCTP Messaging Service, now you can set up Receivers with email addresses. From the menu bar, select Edit, then Receivers, then click the [New] button.




Now enter their Name and Receiver ID, and select the Messaging Service you created for WCTP.
*Note to Arch Wireless customers: Please contact your Arch Wireless Representative about adding Arch Universal Access Services to your pager accounts for use with their WCTP and U.S. nationwide Dialup TAP services.

This is where you place your email return address for any replied or rejected messages sent using WCTP or SMTP. From the menu bar select Setup, then Internet Settings, then click the tab for 'E-mail (SMTP)'.



Consult your Internet Service Provider or Network Administrator if you are not sure of your return email address.
